Travels and tribulations

Where do I start? My last trip to Buenos Aires was a journey to a world I had not expected to see, live and learn. Inwards and outwards it was such an intense time. I live in Texas geographically away from there but, I have a virtual world so close to my fingertips. That is what is the real change in our world.

My ancestors and beyond

How far can I go on trying to find how my grandparents and great grandparents lived? May be just a short ninety something years back, but beyond that how much do I know? Almost nothing. It is difficult to reconstruct a past that was whipped out due to the human nature....

Why do I want to know? It is my curiosity to see how much things have change. Look at the speed of technology, and to see that there are emotions, fears, and other things that will never change just transform... and try to look and see if there is a glimpse in our present that gives us a hint what the future can bring us. Living life is uncertainty, specially the variables of the history of this world.

It seems to me that the century's major turns have affected my parents in one way or another. They were born in WWI and survived the first genocide of the 1900's. Lived in Europe during WW II and escaped a communist regime... didn't belong to any country and had to travel as refugees. Escaped, emigrated and tried to assimilate to the place they lived. History?, who writes those history books? My parents life reflects the history of the past century...

Made in where?

Where things are made?  I have embarked on a little mission.  Can I find where my pencil, cereal, vitamins, and clothes were made?  Well, it will be "Made in World" should be the answer...
